Head near Haebangchon’s Shinhung Market entrance and you’ll find Bendito, a Tex-Mex & Tequila house that does things differently.

This isn’t just tacos and margaritas. Bendito reinterprets Tex-Mex barbecue using Korean ingredients (even some from North Korean cooking) to create bold, one-of-a-kind dishes. From smoky brisket tacos to lamb sundae mole and soft-shell crab with 청국장, the menu is equal parts familiar and adventurous.

The result? A dining experience that keeps locals and expats coming back.

“This place is AMAZING!! Whether you’re a Korean local or a tourist missing tacos back home, this place should be on your must-visit. Especially if you’re looking for a crisp margarita made with top-shelf tequila 😉

The tortillas are all house-made to order so they come out fresh, hot, and fragrant. All the meats are charred to perfection but still hold their moisture & integrity. The sauces are unique too — I loved the sweet tomato salsa and chimichurri.

When you come by, be sure to order the fries AND the chili con carne fries — the chili is to die for.”
